Wednesday List!

Sigh, with school really getting into full swing, I don't have as much time as I would like to blog.  So, here it is, one week later, another list.  While school is on my mind, here are my top 5 favorite University of Michigan classes that I've taken:

As you can see by this list, I have a very wide array of interests :)

Wednesday List!

I've decided to start doing a weekly update on Wednesdays and have settled on doing lists so that my readers can get to know me a little better with little reading necessary!  So, first up, in honor of the changing weather...
My Five Favorite Fall Activities:
1. FOOTBALL SEASON!
2. Apple orchards
3. Taking colorful tree pics while driving around with B
4. Thanksgiving
5. Sleeping with the windows open and waking up to a cool fall breeze

A Brief Respite

Sometimes just a few days can give you a new perspective on life.  B and I went to my parents house for the weekend and it was just so wonderful to get away from Ann Arbor for a bit.  I went to the chiropractor and we watched the football game with my folks and grandparents.  The game was so fun!  (we won 28-24 in the last minutes of the game)  Church was a refreshing break and coffee with my extended family is always good.  This weekend gave me the break I needed and I'm ready to get going with this week.  I'm hoping to get most of my homework done tonight so I can focus on creating new things for my Etsy Shop later this week!

Books!

Another book completed!!  Understanding Thomas Jefferson was one of the most eye opening books I have ever read.  Many Americans (ok, maybe just the nerdy history lovers, like myself) know something about the apparent contradictions in his life: undying love for his wife and yet a lover in one of his slave girls, fear of racial mixing and yet multiple biracial children, hatred for the institution of slavery and yet lifelong owner of slaves, etc, etc.  This book takes all of those strange contradictions and pulls them together into a cohesive picture of the founding father.  Reading this book offered such a unique insight into Jefferson's life and the amount of research that clearly went into this biography is truly astounding.  If you have any interest at all in Revolutionary America, this is a book not to miss!
